Christmas Break

Christmas break was fun this season. We kept it simple and enjoyed each others company but sure did miss Matt, Kendra and the munchkin.

Mom and Seefa had a bonding moment in the living room. Seefa loves Christmas for all of the fun wrapping paper and ribbons to play with, but this year he has been content to just be a normal pain in the butt.

Playing with our Apple products... So trendy. ;-)

Matt and Kendra and Peanut were missed, but they had a nice (and snowy) Christmas of their own in Oregon with Kendra's family this year.

Jake's Pottery

This Semester I have spent most of my free time on my art.  I love it so much and here are some of my newest creations.   I have a collection of Platters started in my room on a shelf.

This is my favorite platter, the picture doesn't do it justice though.  I just found out that I won an award from the University's Art department for this one at the student's art show.  The school has also offered to purchase it for their own collection, but I am still thinking about it.

Another collection of less favorites.

These are the new small bowls that I made for Mom's set of dishes that she already has.  They all match perfectly and they stack well.  Merry Christmas, Momma!

Jake in Yellowstone

This weekend was great for Jake!  4 friends and I spent 2 days in Yellowstone and we had a ball!
Here is a photo of Derrick, Me, and Jared.

The best spot was in a place called Artists Point.  They call it the Grand Canyon of Yellowstone.  Here are Stephanie & Kendra on a lookout point.

We played frisbee throughout Yellowstone, especially around Old Faithful and the other Geyser areas.  It was pretty fun, but when Stephanie started to jump off the path and into acid pool areas, we put a botch on the whole idea.  :-)

Paisley's Fall Firsts

Our little Paisley is not so little anymore. OK she is still little, but she is growing so fast.
We took the opportunity to visit the Oregon Zoo (her very first trip to the zoo!) on $2 Tuesday. It was a zoo alright. But we all had a great time and enjoyed our Matt on a Tuesday before he started his new job.

Paisley loved feeding the goats...this girl is fearless.

Mommy and Paisley

So curious.

Introduction to a larokeet.

We took Paisley to the pumpkin patch. It's so fun to see her reaction to new things and new experiences. This is Paisley with her friend Kieth Erik!

Peek a Boo!

Hey, they match.

Taking a walk through the corn maze! She walked through the whole thing (with my hands of course).

Taking a break from all the fun...this is not relaxing at all. But at least she is happy.

We visited another pumpkin patch. We love them, mostly for all the fresh yummy produce and apple cider. This is us with my sister and her daughters. Paisley's oblivious to the camera.

Matt and Paisley almost got attacked by a giant spider. Yikes! It was close.

Does she blend in?

Possibly a new family member.

This girl LOVES to swing. We took her out to slide and she started to cry and point back to the swings. We know her favorite playground toy.

So, with this blooming era of technological advancements, I've decided to get this family into gear and start us bloggin! While Mom & Dad with Emily still reside in Minneapolis and Matt, Kendra and Paisley are in Southern Washington, and me (Jake) happen to be in Rexburg, Idaho; we need to find a way to keep our family closer than a $600 plane ticket away.  Everyone, feel free to comment on our postings, and if you are a member of the family and want to add some pictures, just shoot me an email and I'll give you the password.  Thanks!

Pictures from our summer of FUN!

We had so much fun this summer on the new boat.  As you will see, Paisley LOVES being on, in, or around the water.

She might even love driving the boat more than Grandpa... maybe.

When we are not enjoying the Lake, the next best thing is spending a summer day in Mom's beautifully sculpted yard.
